Water quality advisory lifted in Langs Road, Ascot Vale
11 August 2022
Following consultation with the Department of Health, Greater Western Water (GWW) has lifted the Do Not Use Advisory issued on 9 August for customers in Langs Road, between Epsom Road and Chauvel Street, Ascot Vale.
We can confirm that, after flushing internal pipes at affected customer properties, water quality sampling results show that the water is safe to drink.
Customers are being connected to a temporary water supply while we continue to repair the main that supplies the properties.
GWW Managing Director, Maree Lang, thanked the impacted customers for their patience while testing was carried out to ensure that the water was safe.
“At all times, our priority is to provide our customers with safe drinking water and this means ensuring the water is compliant with all regulations,” she said.
I’m grateful to our teams who have worked around-the-clock to provide ongoing support to impacted customers and resolve the issue as quickly as possible.”
