Some customer bills have been delayed by technical issues. You will have four months to pay any late bill. You don’t need to do anything. Find out more.

Claim a concession

If you hold a valid pension or health care card, you may be eligible to claim a concession on your account.

Is my card eligible?

You can claim a concession if you have:

  • a Pensioner Concession Card
  • a Health Care Card
  • a Veterans’ Affairs Gold Card.

You can only register one card for your property.

If you hold an eligible concession card but your name is not on the bill, contact us for assistance. We're available Monday to Friday between 8:30am and 5pm, except public holidays.

Other conditions

To claim a concession, you must also:

  • be the main account holder
  • be applying for the property you live at
  • have the same name and address on your card and your bill.

If your card and account details don’t match, contact Services Australia or the Department of Veteran Affairs to update your card.

How much is the concession?

We offer rebates off water, sewerage and usage charges to customers who are concession card holders.

For the 2024/25 financial year, the following concession amounts can be applied to eligible residential accounts:

  • 50% rebate on water and sewerage charges up to a yearly maximum of $363.00
  • 50% rebate on single service, e.g. water only, up to a maximum of $181.50

The concession amount is distributed evenly across the bills you receive from us each year.

We can backdate concessions up to 12 months from your application dates. Contact Centrelink for backdated concessions greater than 12 months.
