The Victorian Government’s WaterSmart program helps businesses become more water efficient.
WaterSmart is a Victorian government program that helps eligible businesses become more water efficient through water use monitoring and assessments.
Water can be lost through leaks or be used inefficiently.
Even a small water leak can lead to high water bills for a business.
This can result in:
excessive water charges
higher trade waste charges
increased energy costs caused by heating and moving water that wasn’t used effectively.
WaterSmart helps businesses through:
Installation of digital monitoring device on water meters across your site/s and access to a data portal through VicFacilities to enable water use to be monitored
Water efficiency assessments. A professional advisor will visit your site/s to review water use and prepare a report on opportunities to improve water efficiency.
Please note, these services are available to businesses at no cost. In some cases, a financial contribution from the business may be required for complex water efficiency assessments.
