Our private fire service provides customers with direct access to the water supply system for firefighting purposes.
The Fire Service Charge covers costs related to the design, operation and maintenance of the service and provides programs that identify unmetered water use resulting in a reduction in water use in identified cases. The charge is applied for each connection to the property.
A private fire service can easily be identified by red-coloured surface fittings such as hose reels, fire hydrants, and automatic sprinkler systems.
