Mobile water stations

Our mobile water stations offer clean and refreshing tap water for community events, reducing the need for single-use plastic bottles.

We have two types of mobile water stations available, a mobile water station and a water furphy. Both have different requirements for use.

Eligibility

To book a mobile water station, your event must:

  • have a connection to an outdoor potable water mains tap within 20 metres (it cannot connect to a water tank or private water line)
  • take place within our service area
  • have at least 1000 participants
  • take place at least 8 weeks in the future
  • have a COVIDSafe Plan and comply with current COVIDSafe principles.

If your event does not meet all these requirements, you can book a mobile water furphy.

Requirements

If you book the mobile water station, you must recognise Greater Western Water as an event sponsor and provide opportunities for us to promote our work in the community.

We may also require access to any images or photography from the event.

Mobile water furphy

If your event is within our service area but does not meet all the criteria to book the mobile water station, we have a smaller water furphy available. The furphy contains a 1,000-litre water tank that requires an electrical power source to function.

Delivery and collection

We can deliver and collect the water station during business hours, Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm. If your event is over a weekend, you can request delivery on a Friday and collection on a Monday.
