Changing an existing connection
Need to move a shower, toilet, sink or other fixture as part of your renovation? You might need to apply to change the location of your water or sewer connection.
A licensed plumber can carry out internal plumbing work for your renovation but you'll need our permission – and one of our accredited contractors – to change your property's water and sewer connections.

How to apply
Use Property Plus to apply for a change to your existing connections, including:
- residential property connections
- commercial or multi-unit connections
- commercial or multi-unit connections with a fire service.
Application times
We usually need at least 10 business days to process residential applications and 20 business days for commercial or multi-unit properties.
