Greater Western Water achieves global recognition as a leading utility
12 May 2022
Greater Western Water (GWW) has been inaugurated into the Leading Utilities of the World (LUOW), a global network that celebrates the world's most innovative water and wastewater utilities.
LUOW members are leaders in their field and must demonstrate outstanding achievement in areas of global significance to the water sector, as well as an ambition to continue to drive performance for the years to come.
At Singapore International Water Week, GWW Managing Director Maree Lang showcased innovation successes in the areas of diversity and inclusion, smart insights and security, and water resource planning.
Ms Lang said achieving this recognition was testament to the GWW team and highlighted the organisation’s commitment to providing innovative solutions in the face of change.
“Through strategic partnerships, collaboration and innovation across the water sector we’re ensuring that we continue to meet the needs of our communities, customers and Country while progressing towards a sustainable future”.
“Becoming a member of Leading Utilities of the World is important to Greater Western Water. It means we are part of a group of like-minded organisations across the world. We will be able to tap into a wealth of knowledge and a sea of best practice”, she said.
LUOW is a gold standard program of the Global Water Leaders Group, a non-profit organisation that recognises the world’s top performing and most innovative utilities.
There are currently only 56 LUOW network members worldwide.
