Trees for schools
We encouraged schools to get involved in this year’s Trees for Schools program to help increase tree canopy cover and create more green spaces for everyone to enjoy.
Eligible schools applied for up to 50 trees through an expression of interest process open to every primary and secondary school in our service area. Expressions of Interest have now closed.
Key dates:
- 29 April - EOI assessments completed
- 26 May - All schools notified via email of application outcome
- 20 July - Tree delivery commences
- 26 July - Trees for Schools Day (a great day to plant trees!)
The Trees for Schools program is a partnership between GWW, the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA) and local councils through the More Trees for a Cooler Greener West program and Greening the West.
