Water-efficient appliance survey to help plan our future
12 October 2021
Soon we’ll be conducting an important customer survey to gather information on how water efficient appliances are used at home.
The survey, called Residential Appliance Stock & Usage Pattern Study, will provide essential information to help predict future water demand across Melbourne and surrounds.
The information gathered during the survey will also help us to determine the needs of future network designs across our region.
The survey is typically carried out every five years. While former City West Water customers have been invited to complete the survey in previous years, this is the first time that Greater Western Water will participate as a new water corporation.
1000 randomly selected Greater Western Water customers will be invited to participate in the study during October, with a total of 3000 people across Melbourne and surrounds expected to take part.
The survey takes around 15-20 minutes to complete, and all information gathered during the study is confidential.
This project is delivered in collaboration with South East Water and Yarra Valley Water, and supported by Melbourne Water.
Please note that if you’re randomly selected to take part, you will be emailed via an independent recruitment consultant, Engine.
