Water use across our service region is typically much higher during the hotter, drier summer months. This is due to an increase in activities like watering gardens, greening lawns, or filling pools.
Under current rules you can:
Water your garden or lawn with a watering can, bucket or hand-held hose with a trigger nozzle at any time.
Water your garden or lawn with a watering system such as a sprinkler only between 6pm and 10am.
Wash your car with a bucket, hand-held hose with a trigger nozzle or high-pressure cleaning device at any time.
Use water for a fountain or water feature only if it recirculates water.
If you are using recycled water, grey water, bore water or tank water, then the Permanent Water Saving Rules don’t apply to you. However, if your alternative water source is mixed with the drinking water supply, the rules do apply.
