Greater Western Water encourages Macedon Ranges community to have their say

Greater Western Water (GWW) is continuing their collaborative approach to planning for the future of water in the Macedon Ranges with a new invitation to the community to share their views.
Locals are encouraged to contribute their knowledge and aspirations via the re-opened online survey, or by attending one of five community pop-up events taking place from Saturday 3rd December.
General Manager Strategy & Partnerships, Kessia Thomson said to ensure the Macedon Ranges continues to thrive we need to work closely with the community to get prepared for some of the driest and wettest years ahead.
“Securing the future of water in the face of extreme climate conditions and a fast-growing population is a priority for us. It’s important we find a way forward on the challenges with those who understand and care about the region.
“It’s been fantastic to hear from some of the locals recently on what matters most to them when it comes to water. It’s reaffirmed the value of local knowledge and is why we’re encouraging even more people to join the conversation,” she said.
The community are invited to complete the survey online or visit the GWW team at a pop-up event for a chat:
Saturday 3rd December: Woodend Farmers Market – 9am to 1pm
Saturday 10th December: Lions Club Sausage Sizzle, Main Street Romsey – 9am to 1pm
Tuesday 13th December: Community Chat Café, Neighbourhood House Woodend – 11.30am to 12:30pm
Thursday 15th December: Riddells Creek Neighbourhood House – 10am to 3pm
Saturday 17th December: Lancefield Farmers Market – 9am to 1pm
