Our strong partnerships build trust in the communities we serve.
We partner with people and organisations in our region who share our vision for thriving people and Country, as outlined in our 2030 Strategy.
Through these partnerships, we’ll use our important role as leaders in Melbourne’s west to benefit the community, businesses and environment. Our shared purpose is to improve livability for the diverse communities we serve and to protect, heal and care for Country.
We will continue to build on our strong relationships with community leaders and First Nations peoples in the west, and focus on our partnerships with local governments, aligned agencies, healthcare provider and the education sector to co-create success in our region.
Our partnerships
Victoria University
Our first major industry alliance is with Victoria University.
In 2023 we strengthened the partnership by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that will benefit the people, businesses and environment of Melbourne’s west.
Our Managing Director, Maree Lang and Adam Shoemaker, Victoria University's Vice-Chancellor, signed the MOU, which establishes a five-year major alliance between us.
Under this partnership we'll work to:
help students gain employment through a future workforce program
explore opportunities to partner with our communities in education and training
lead the way towards net zero emissions and waste
support First Nations peoples’ participation in our region
research and facilitate innovation in water and wastewater management
take part in joint advocacy for Melbourne's west.
We both have an important role that extends beyond our core purpose. That is to support a thriving western region by developing individuals and communities, and by protecting, healing and caring for Country.

Kinaway
Kinaway supports Victorian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander business owners by:
providing support and advice
improving visibility
fostering networks that create opportunities for businesses.
Through our partnership we are supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples by increasing employment and improving access to healthcare and education.
Working together across industries in Melbourne's west
Working with partners, we’ll focus on programs that help us achieve common goals for the communities we serve.
GWW’s Managing Director Maree Lang is a member of the Tarneit Revitalisation Board.
The board provides a local voice to the Victorian Government's Suburban Revitalisation program and works with communities to identify opportunities for locally-led projects to help Tarneit thrive.
The Western Metropolitan Partnership is an advisory group established by the Victorian Government.
Our participation in the group means we’re able to share our community’s top priorities for jobs, services and infrastructure directly with the Victorian Government.
Wyndham Tech School is a STEM Centre of Excellence. It acts as a hub to engage students and the community in project-based activities using technology and processes inspired by our local industry.
By partnering with Wyndham Tech School we can support partner schools in providing secondary students with the skills they need to flourish in careers of the future.
