Understanding service requirements
Servicing requirements advice (SRA) will give you early notice of potential infrastructure work and other requirements for your property development.
You can apply for an SRA for a greenfield development if:
- water main or sewer information is unavailable in the GWW Network Servicing Plans or GIS
- you need integrated water management because recycled water supply is not practical.
You can apply for an SRA for a brownfield development if:
- maximum demand is 20 L/s or more
- industrial/commercial on water mains is less than 150 mm
Apply for a connection
When you apply for a new connection, we'll ask you to provide some important details about your property.
This will include:
- your plumber’s name and their Victorian Building Authority (VBA) Licence Number
- a site or floor plan (for sewerage connections)
- a subdivision number (if your property is not titled).
For some properties, you'll also need to provide:
- owner corporation details
- a fire plan.
Use Property Plus for your property development applications, including:
- commercial or multi-unit connections
- commercial or multi-unit connections with a fire service
- requests for additional lots or property titles
