    Our suppliers and contractors play an important role in helping us provide trusted water and wastewater services for our customers and community. 

    Tenders

    Our construction contracts and goods and services contracts are advertised through TenderLink.

    Construction contracts are also advertised and managed through Buying for Victoria.

    What we look for in suppliers

    We look for suppliers with values and principles that align with our own.

    Specifically, we look for suppliers who:

    • provide value for money
    • demonstrate integrity and transparency in business practices
    • are committed to sustainable practices and risk minimisation

    These standards inform our procurement policy and align with Victoria’s Social Procurement Framework.

    We also have three key social procurement outcomes:

    • opportunities for Victorian Aboriginal people
    • opportunities for Victorians with disability
    • women's equality and safety
    • Environmentally sustainable business practices

    If you are tendering for construction contracts, you will need to be accredited with Greater Western Water.

    You can apply for open tenders through TenderLink. Each tender contains its own terms and conditions, lodgement closing time and other details you need for your submission.

    Check the closing time carefully because we can’t accept late lodgements.

    Forward Procurement Activity Plan

    The Forward Procurement Activity Plan provides a high-level summary of potential procurement opportunities over the forthcoming 12 to 18 months. This plan will be reviewed every six months and therefore it should be noted that it is an estimate of activity at a given point in time, and may be subject to change.

    Complaints

    We manage all complaints in a consistent, fair and transparent way in line with Victoria’s Social Procurement Framework.

    If you have a complaint about our procurement process email the following details to our procurement team:

    • your full name
    • your business name
    • the reason for your complaint
    • the outcome you’re looking for
    • any other information to help us resolve your complaint

    Accreditation and induction

    Our safety commitment extends to all suppliers and contractors who work with us. 

    We require all contractors and consultants who work for us to be accredited.

    Contractors who support our extensive capital works and maintenance programs must complete our contractor induction.
