Our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) commits us to work towards our vision for reconciliation.
Our vision for reconciliation is a society that celebrates and protects the cultural and spiritual connections of First Nations peoples to the surrounding lands and waters. We seek a society that meaningfully and respectfully engages with First Nations communities and Traditional Owners.
This Innovate RAP sets out how we will work towards this vision.
It reflects how much we value the knowledge and history held by First Nations people and Traditional Owners. It includes our goals and actions that we want to do – not what we have to do – and emphasises the role that everyone at GWW has to play in promoting reconciliation.
The artwork featured in the RAP was created by Wadawurrung artist B.J.C. and selected through The Torch, a not-for-profit that delivers an Indigenous Arts in Prisons and Community program, with artists receiving 100 per cent of the proceeds from the sale of their work.
